Books about Asbestos Shingles and Roof Products
Over the past century, roofs were sometimes made with asbestos products. Roofing products include asbestos-cement shingles, asbestos roof coating, asbestos containing built-up roofing, and asbestos roofing felts. One book says that asbestos shingles are brittle, so they can be smashed. People doing roof replacement and installations could be exposed to the hazardous asbestos dust.
