Asbestos References:
Many of the valves listed in this book use asbestos for the stuffing or the disc.  For most of the valves, there is a description of the construction of the valve, and if asbestos was used, it is described.  For example, "The Deep Stuffing Box is filled with molded asbestos ring packing and fitted with Follower Gland and Packing Nut."

There are also a couple of page describing parts, such as composition discs and disc holders, and a couple of these products are described as containing asbestos.
