ASBESTOS REFERENCES:

This book has about three pages on Asbestosis. It says that Asbestosis is a pneumonokonioses caused by the inhalation of asbestos dust.  It says that "Many of the workers in  asbestos have a terminal death of tuberculosis."  This book cites studies by Lanza, Mereweather, Gloyne and others, dating as early as 1933.  The full text of this section is pictured above.

Noteworthy:
This book used to belong to the Library at the Department of Public Health, State of Tennessee.

CONDITION
: Acceptable. The binding is broken on this book both at the front and back. All pages are still holding together but it's fragile. A few pages have edge tears. Ex-library book with stamps and marks. Some pages having writing or other marks.
