Asbestos Reference:

AJAX Spiral Wound Gaskets are described as containing asbestos.

It says: "AJAX Gaskets are constructed of one continuous strip of preformed metal, wound spirally from the inside to the outside with a cushion of specially treated UGASCO Asbestos, inserted between each metal ply or lamination in the spiral."

Style "A" Boiler Handhole and Tubecap Gaskets, Other Boiler Accessory Gaskets were described of having similar construction ("construction is basically the same as other spiral-wound gaskets listed") and these were available for the following manufacturers: Babcock & Wilcox*, Combustion Engineering, Edge Moor, Foster Wheeler, Heine, and Ward.

*Babcock & Wilcox is misspelled on this ad.. it actually says Babcox & Wilcox.
